On May 7, 2021, the GRIP Group celebrated its 20th anniversary.
We founded our business in Kobe in 2001, aiming to bring fresh air to the market.
In the spring of 2002, under the Heal Creek brand, we started working with famous department stores and specialty stores across Japan and also succeeded in partnering with foreign enterprises.
In 2003, we opened our Tokyo office, launched VIVA HEART, and started working with chain sporting goods stores. These developments led to the eight brands we have today.
We are full of gratitude for the many people and companies that have supported us since our founding, without whom we could not have made it to where we are now.
Although the COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant damage to the market and to GRIP, thanks to our business partners and customers in Japan and abroad who continue to believe in our brands, we are heading toward new growth.
In 2021, the GRIP Group will strive to become a 100-year company with sustainable development goals.
In the next 10 years, we will:
- build a retail business that embraces both physical stores and e-commerce
- expand our overseas businesses along with brand licensing
- establish joint businesses with chain sporting goods stores
- venture into new fields through collaborative businesses
and much more, continuing to tackle new business models that have potential for the future.
